Our investigations are tailored to the specific requirements of each project and are performed in accordance with international standards such as ASTM, BS, and AASHTO.

Our soil investigation scope covers everything from preliminary site assessments to detailed foundation design support for roads, buildings, bridges, pipelines, and other civil engineering projects.

Field Investigation Capabilities

  • Borehole Drilling (with continuous soil sampling)
  • Standard Penetration Test (SPT)
  • Dynamic Cone Penetration Test (DCPT)
  • Field Density Test (Sand Replacement/Core Cutter Method)
  • Plate Load Test
  • In-situ Permeability Test
  • Trial Pits and Test Pits
  • Groundwater Table Monitoring

Value to Clients

Our team of geotechnical experts and skilled technicians ensures that every investigation delivers reliable, actionable data to support your engineering and design decisions. GTS's soil investigation services help reduce risk, ensure compliance, and lay a strong foundation for project success.

Pile Integrity Testing

GTS offers professional Pile Integrity Testing (PIT) services to assess the structural soundness and continuity of cast-in-place and precast piles. Using the latest low-strain impact testing equipment, we ensure that installed piles meet project specifications and are free from major defects that could compromise structural performance.

Our services follow international standards such as ASTM D5882 and are performed by trained and certified geotechnical technicians.

Key Features of the Service

  • Non-destructive, fast, and cost-effective method
  • Detects pile defects such as:
    • Voids or honeycombing
    • Cracks or necking
    • Soil inclusions or segregation
    • Major changes in cross-section
  • Suitable for bored piles, driven piles, CFA piles, and micro piles
  • Tests can be performed shortly after casting (typically 2–7 days)
  • Ideal for quality control during foundation installation

Deliverables

  • Field test records and interpreted waveforms
  • Identification of any defects or inconsistencies
  • Pile length verification (in some cases)
  • Summary report with visual charts and conclusions
  • Recommendations for further investigation or remediation (if required)

Value to Clients

Our PIT services help clients maintain high construction quality, reduce foundation risk, and ensure the long-term safety and performance of structures.
